While it takes a half hour till their first kiss, it's well worth the wait! There are so many obstacles to their romance; the kid nephew, Zach's closet mentality, and Shaun's desire to move back to L.A Coming from Here! the folks who bring us the torrid "Dante's Cove," Shelter is a gentler tale. This is a film filled with superlative writing, first-class acting and some sweet tender gay moments.

skin flick

The softcore version of Bruce LaBruce's hardcore Skin Gang leaves no stone unturned in it's goal of disturbing and arousing the viewer. LaBruce takes several stories and ties them together for a rousing finale using a traditional filmmaking technique, but this is no traditional film. We are presented with images of a skinhead jerking off onto Mein Kampf, a Jewish gay skinhead singing Hebrew songs, a circle jerk surrounding a skinhead screwing a black man and chanting "monkey, monkey, monkey" and the more traditional porn images of toilet sex and plumber seduction.Borrowing from Wash West's breakthrough film Squishy Does Porno, LaBruce switches back and forth between black and white, video and film to great effect. Integrating these effects with a terrific punk soundtrack gives us an original and engrossing film. Yavolslav Mogutin wrote text/poetry which the gay Jewish skinhead reads and sings over some of the sex scenes. The poetry is disturbing s/m text that somehow fits this crazy quilt of a film.

Queer romantic nihilism for a ravaged, turmoil-filled Germany. Stefan and Jockel live in a wildly painted trailer on the outskirts of a Berlin. They've got a third lover Micha who both lovers vie for the attention of. But Jockel's got a problem, he likes his heroin, much to the chagrin of Stefan who tries desperately to get his friend off the junk. With very little story, Prince in Hell is all atmosphere, and there's plenty of that. Something else there's plenty of is nudity and gay sex! While no one could call this film a picnic, it's hard not to watch this train wreck of a family crash.

Shot almost entirely in an abandoned Eastern German prison, Locked Up is a full-blown prisoner romance featuring lots of nudity and plenty of studs in (and out of) prison garb. The incredibly adorable Dennis (Schlutt) is sent to prison after he's caught using fraudulent credit cards. He's reticent to get involved with the low-life drug dealers on his cell-block, but there seems little choice -- it's either that or rape. Getting tired of pacing his cell, he looks out the window as a hunky black man is digging a hole in the ground. Our hole-digger, Mike (Sale) is on another block and he's instantly attracted to the adorable Dennis and who wouldn't be? They manage to hook up during recreation period and their first kiss scares Dennis off, but he goes back for more. What kind of prison is this? There are voyeuristic gay guards (inspired by Genet's Un Chant D'Amour,) a punk who likes to be spit on and the warden entertain requests for lovers to room together! With plenty of sexual energy between the two leads, their romance develops through motherly visits, drug deals and a nasty prison rape scene. Locked Up is an enjoyably romantic and erotic debut non-adult film from Jörg Andreas.

BREAKING THE SURFACE

The hunky, eminently watchable Mario Lopez graduates from TV's guilty pleasure "Saved by the Bell" only to fail in this flat telemovie about the troubled life of Olympic winning diver Greg Louganis. The film, based on Louganis' autobiography, chronologically follows him from his tumultuous childhood with his adopted parents, through his young adulthood when dyslexia, low self-esteem and his long-hidden homosexuality combined to make his personal life miserable despite his athletic ability and success as a competitor. This should have made for more riveting viewing, but the bombastic soundtrack, awkward direction, tepid acting and "seen-it-all-before" story line (a youth overcomes adversity) limits interest. The strongest aspect is actually Greg's acceptance of being gay. Because of his personal demons, caused primarily be his own low self-worth, we watch as Greg destroys his college romance (Jonathan Scarfe) and then later suffers under his gay Svengali Tom. That latter relationship, one in which Tom inflicted both mental and physical abuse on Greg, is done quite well. But any drama will fail when its protagonist spends 90% of the time acting out his "victim persona" unable to confront his demons. And this being television, there is no visual sign of gay love other than a brotherly kiss on the forehead by Tom to Greg. FirstOut: A Collection of Award-Winning Gay-Themed Short Films

Different -- Justin has a secret, he's straight. In the parallel universe of Liberty High School gay is the norm and Homecoming is only days away. Not only is this film quite well done, it stars the amazing Emily Brooke-Hands (Eating Out). While the plot sounds a like lot Almost Normal, it's still a fresh take on homophobia, and quite entertaining. And unlike Almost Normal these actors could pass for high school students.
A Good Son -- Like all good short films the plot is simple; there's no fuss, no muss. A young guy is at a swim meet with his family, bored in the bleachers. Another cute boy suggests they vanish for a minute and get to know each other. On the roof they share a bowl of pot and the aggressive boy kisses the other. Not rejected, they go back down to the swim meet, maybe exchanging numbers. The blurb on the box says that their lives are changed. We woudn't go that far, but it's a cute film.
Is One of You Eddie? -- Four stereotypical West Hollywod gay men have brunch in their backyard. There's fresh fruit, smoked trout and plenty of attitude. When the upstairs neighbor Eddie wanders through the year, they treat him rudely because he's not like them. Don't worry, they live and learn.
Meet Joe Gay -- In this documentary, 27-year-old gay filmmaker Benjamin Morgan attempts to understand why he's single and what it takes to maintain a successful relationship. What he fails to see is the elephant in the room, he's so self-absorbed, no one else is as interesting as he is.
The Neighborly Thing -- This is a chilling tale of a gay man's overzealous obsession with his upstairs neighbor. When he encounters a young street couple inhabiting his neighbor's house, his territory is threatened and he intrudes on their privacy. Very creepy indeed.

Vates eventually beds him, and wakes up, handcuffed, to a challenge presented by Jack, who pilfers his badge: come out and risk harassment at work or allow Jack to get away with, literally, murder.Huckert doesn't shy away from explicit sex or violence, nor references to Jeffrey Dahmer. In one such homage/sequence, policemen detain and question Jack and his near-catatonic abductee - but let them go. After all, they're just a faggot couple, right? Although fiercely independent and operating with a slim budget, Huckert has managed to wrangle a slick look and solid performances with this gruesome thriller reminiscent of Seven and The Silence of the Lambs.

Gorgeously acted and written, this was our favorite short from the 2005 film festival circuit. An aging artist who is losing his vision employs a drug-addicted street hustler to paint his paintings for him in a mutual quest for salvation. Starring Aron Tager and P.J. Lazic.

We were shocked to be disappointed by this film. We love French film and the work of Salim Kéchiouche, but this just didn't gel for us. Rock Bottom -- Directed by Mary Feuer / 22min.
While we thought the film was impeccably acted, we have problems with how the message was conveyed. The producers assured us the filmmakers intended the message to be drug-negative, it felt to us like the film made crack seem harmless. See for yourselves! There are interviews with each of the filmmakers included in the extras, we're eager to hear this one. A lonely writer and a young street hustler find themselves in a sometimes tender, sometimes tense game of trust. After a night of drugs, sex, games, and deception, it is clear they need each other. Is it true love, or have they both hit rock bottom? Starring Timothy Lee DePriest and John Militello.

Aaron’s Mormon missionary roommates interrupt, spot their brother as a homo and send him back in shame to his Idaho hometown and embarrassed parents.We can't tell you what happens next because we’re not going to ruin this romantic drama for you, but C. Jay Cox is a Hollywood screenwriter with all that entails. His work on Sweet Home Alabama which included a great gay character, brought kudos, but this is clearly his project of love. The incredibly handsome and charismatic Sandvoss, in his debut film, gives us fierce non-verbal emotion that few actors can match - watch this boy's career. All of the acting is first-rate, including Amber Benson as Christian’s co-worker, Mary Kay Place as Aaron’s stern mother and Jacqueline Bisset as Christian’s restaurant boss who harbors her own secrets. It’s a grand gay screen romance with large-scale emotions that belongs in everyone's collection.

This gripping Atlanta-made police drama centers around the unlikely relationship between a young sweet looking but tough talking male hustler and a ruggedly handsome vice cop. While staking out Blue Boy, a seedy hustler bar, he meets and is attracted to Oliver (Dane Ritter), a handsome but aloof prostitute. The cop quickly becomes obsessed with the young man – and learns that the 21-year-old also leads a double life: that of a middle class college student who helps his family through hustling at night. Their nascent relationship becomes strained when a murder points to Oliver as the prime suspect resulting in secretive worlds being exposed, and forcing them to learn how to trust one another. An unusual thriller/love story infused with interesting characters from the attractive leads to the suspicious bartender, catty rent boys and an older cop who has seen it all. Although low budget with some wooden acting the character development is strong and the film is quite appealing.

Leaving Metropolis

This independent Canadian drama from Brad Fraser, the writer of Love and Human Remains focuses on David, a controversial gay painter in the remote Canadian province of Manitoba. His financial success has brought him fame, money and a dull life. He basically hangs out with Kryla, a straight woman and Shannon, an HIV positive trans woman who is also his roommate. To get some inspiration, he takes a job as a waiter at a small café run by a married couple, Matt and Violet. The last thing he expects to do is fall in love with Matt, but that's just what happens. David starts painting again -- homages to Matt, his new love wreaking havoc on the marriage and on David.While Leaving Metropolis feels like an old-style "gay movie" -- poor writing and stilted characters, it does have something to recommend. There are several fairly intense sex scenes, both straight and gay and these two guys aren't shy about showing us their bodies. No full-frontal nude shots, but plenty of underwear and chest showing and these two boys have a lot to look at. After some research we learned that the film is based on Fraser's stage play Poor Super Man which had a whole different premise to it. The play emphasized David's personal feelings toward the comic book hero Superman and how he was just as perfect as his hero. Of course, what the play was showing was that no one is perfect. Unfortunately that storyline has been trimmed down in the film, rendering it unintelligible. Don't expect anything earth-shattering here, just a simple gay melodrama with some sweet skin.

Sean McGinnis (Cunio) has been renting the classics and by error gets Citizen Cum instead of Citizen Kane. So starts a tale of sexual obsession that changes the course of Sean's life and brings great drama to the screen. The star of Citizen Cum is Johnny Rebel (Gurney) a hot "gay for pay" porn star with drug, relationship and stability problems. Sean becomes so smitten with Johnny that he applies for work at "Men of Janus" - the studio that produces the source of Sean's bliss. Sean gets a job on the set of Johnny's next film and goes beyond camera work to perform a job that most gay men would pay to do. He becomes a fluffer who performs oral sex so that the porn performer is hard on camera. After servicing him, Sean becomes even more enamored with Johnny whose life is spiraling out of control. Johnny's girlfriend Babylon locks him out of the house and his drug use is growing exponentially. There is some nasty violence and the two guys go on a journey that will change the course of their lives. This non-sexually explicit, but very sexy, tale takes Sean and Johnny to places where only the truly obsessed would dare go!

Along the way, the fabulously attired threesome encounter more than their fair share of problems but through it all keep their spirits high, their feathers and sequins unruffled and their gravity-defying wigs straight (so to speak). There are moments of seriousness when homophobia, potentially violent culture clashes and regret of roads not taken confront them, but they readily conquer all in this buoyant and infectiously good-natured tale.

Hit and Runway

This spunky comedy is set in NYC, the cast is filled with eye candy, it's smart and very funny. Taking much inspiration from Woody Allen, even including him in a dream sequence, the film is about the creative process, screen writing and the power of friendship. The film appears to be an autobiographical piece by writer/director Christopher Livingston and his writing partner Jaffe Cohen (of the "Funny Gay Males" - a stand-up comedy act that also includes Bob Smith). The co-writing scenes feel real, in fact the whole screenplay feels like it really happened.Alex Andero (Parducci) washes dishes and waits tables in his family restaurant but he is driven to be a Hollywood screenwriter. He takes classes in screen writing and even has a concept he is working on entitled Hit and Runway. He actually sells his concept to a mover and shaker who has a particular action star in mind. But there is one problem with this scenario, they want comedy and Alex isn't a very funny guy. In walks Elliot Springer (Jacobson) a comedy writer who specializes in "schtick" - Jewish self-deprecating humor. They decide to collaborate on this first effort, but not until Alex helps Elliot wangle a date with the adorable Joey (Smith), a waiter at Alex's restaurant. It turns out that Joey is obsessed with Jewish men and a steamy romance ensues. There's some sweet kissing and plenty of scenes of Kerr Smith (who plays gay on "Dawson's Creek" as well).

Edgy, sexy film about a group of hunky young Russian-Greek street hustlers.
Constantinos Giannaris's (Caught Looking) newest film gives us a picture of lives as foreign as possible, but set in a pattern as familiar as our own lives. Prostitution is an escape from a small, unhappy existence and that's what these boys are seeking. Hustle a few tricks and maybe a way out can be found. The boys hang on the corner, blow pot smoke into each other's mouths, hire female prostitutes to prove their manhood, and plot a way to a new life. When the charismatically hunky Sasha (Papadoulos) thinks he's found a way out by using another man's whore, it goes sour, but we know it will. When two of the boys start to dabble with heroin, we know one is going to OD - this is not a happy and joyous flick, it's a realistic feeling story of a few desperate lives. The boys trick with a gay man who offers affection, but to accept it is to risk being called a faggot, not a badge these boys wear with honor. There's no on-screen gay sex, although lots of talk and shirtless (and sometimes naked) guys. From the Edge of the City brings a sensuous filmmaking style to the story of hustlers on the edge.

The Object of My Affection

A romantic comedy of unrequited love given a '90s, gay twist, The Object of My Affection is a pleasant if lightweight tale which is at its best when not trying too hard to be the cutting-edge romp it only occasionally is. In her best screen performance to date, Aniston is extremely engaging as Nina, a Brooklyn social worker who invites gay teacher George (Rudd) to move in with her when he gets dumped by his two-timing boyfriend. Acting more like girlfriends, the two become close with Nina falling in love with the unattainable George. To further complicate matters, Nina learns she is pregnant and decides to dump her boyfriend, hoping that George will act as surrogate father. Very matter-of-fact in its gayness for a Hollywood film, The Object of My Affection is alternately insightful and artificial. For example, Nina and George's constant declarations of love and demonstrations of affection nearly become farcical, which they clearly are not meant to be. Yet there are other tender and comic scenes which come from the heart. Rudd is appealing as George, and among the supporting cast, Alda, Janney and especially Hawthorne, who brings a quiet dignity to the role of an aging critic, are memorable.

Deliciously trashy, this guilty pleasure makes for addictive viewing. Combining softcore erotica, horror and soap opera, Dante's Cove is one of the most pleasurable surprises to cross our desk in some time.
The first season of this series starts in the late nineteenth century as Grace (Scoggins) is on a stroll with her fine fiancé Ambrosius (Lee). Grace catches another woman eyeing her man and using her witch powers she burns the woman alive. Back at the house Ambrosius convinces his bride-to-be that he's not interested in any other woman. With that said the minute she's out the door his lips are wrapped around his servant's hungry cock. But alas Grace forgot her lovely lacy gloves and interrupts the lovers. She vaporizes the servant (too bad, he has a massive organ) and chains her lover up in the basement with a curse. She makes him old before his time and places a mirror in front of his face. And here's the clincher, he stays old and chained up until he kisses a pretty boy again.
With a higher budget, larger cast and new Hawaiian location the second season of "Dante's Cove" is even more packed with naked studs, supernatural happenings, romance and high drama! With more nudity and supernatural fun, the second season of "Dante's Cove" is even juicier than the first. The second season was shot in Hawaii in 2006 with what was clearly a larger budget and polish. Interestly the series ignores the fact that it's clearly a new hotel and surroundings! What's the difference for us? Not much really. When Kyle and Marc (Brett Chuckerman) have a breakup that doesn't quite feel final, Marc goes off in search of other prey while Gwen, Kyle and Tiffany (Rebekah Kochan, also back from Eating Out) head to art class, where today Troy (Marco Dapper) will model nude. As the trio lusts after Troy, they can't quite figure out who he likes: boys or girls? Troy and Kyle leave class together and head off across campus where they bump into Jacob (Scott Vickaryous) and his ex-gay group, "Coming In". Kyle, who is ultra-gay without a butch bone in his body, decides to pretend he's an ex-gay to see if he can get into mixed-up Troy's pants. There's lots of room for comic craziness as the charade heats up.Funnier and wackier than the first edition, we think Sloppy Seconds is hysterical. The film is a total farce, without any intent to educate or illuminate any serious topics, and for this, we love it. And by the way there is plenty of male nudity – it seems like it's almost all the boys – except Jim Verraros. Have a laugh and enjoy this completely frivolous film!

This screwball comedy harkens back to the days of Cary Grant and Katharine Hepburn (who may be turning over in their respective graves with that comparison) as a hunky straight guy pretends he's gay to get a date with a woman who only likes to hang out with gay men. Caleb just wants to meet a nice girl now after a bad experience. He goes to a party with his gay best friend and roommate Kyle (the adorably out Jim Verraros of "American Idol" fame) and spies Gwen (Stiles) as she throws her latest gay boyfriend out of the bedroom. Kyle explains to Caleb that Gwen only seems to like gay boys and he convinces Caleb he must pretend to be gay to get Gwen's attention, and it does. Caleb is so convincing that Gwen decides to fix Caleb up with her own gay best friend Marc (Carnes), a super-stud. And to top off the whole ridiculous situation, Kyle has a long-standing crush on Marc, who doesn't even seem to remember his name. Suffice it say, this is quite a date! Combining plenty of adorable gay boys with some seriously madcap humor makes Eating Out a great bet.

A successful comic book (or as he prefers, graphic novel) writer and illustrator, Dean (David Sutcliffe) falls into a creative funk after his Argentinean lover, Pablo (Antonio Sabato, Jr.), disappears after going to the store for cigarettes. With a scruffy stubble, piercing eyes and a flippant, "fuck all" attitude, the obsessive Dean decides to venture down to Buenos Aires in hopes of confronting his ex and hopefully bringing him back to his senses and Dean's bed. It proves to be more difficult than planned, as a confusing veil of secrecy, lies and intrigue confront him. It doesn't help that he can't speak Spanish (he can barely say gracias) or that Pablo's mother (Sonia Braga in a scene-stealing role) is an icy bitch who hates him or that the one person he trusts and who may hold answers, Sofia (Celina Font), proves to be just as duplicitous as the others. Even Marcos (Leonardo Brzezicki), Pablo's sex-crazed boyhood friend, is holding out.

Lost in the sprawling city, Sean's search soon involves the police, more than a few guns, loads of sex, a dead body or two and an unanticipated reunion. Sutcliffe is impressive as "a fag with a gun who needs a chainsaw" — he's masculine, 100% homo and single-mindedly determined to get back his love. A refreshing gay tale told with humor, intrigue, torrid sexual excitement: a hardened gay romance for the times.

Such is the premise of this slight though disarming independent comedy which finds its humor in gay and straight stereotypes, though the film's low budget is unable to overcome a pedestrian screenplay and the laughs aren't as frequent as they should be. he stories of 28 Barbary Lane continue with more laughs, more sex and more mysteries with Armistead Maupin's More Tales of the City, a six-part miniseries follow-up to the highly successful Tales of the City. Picking up where the original left off, Anna Madrigal (Dukakis) is still keeping watch over her tenants Mary Ann (Linney), who finds love with the mysterious Burke (Ferguson), and Michael "Mouse" Tolliver (Hopkins, replacing Marcus D'Amico), who falls hard for the dreamy Dr. Fielding (Campbell). Meanwhile, Mona (Siemaszko replacing Chloe Webb) heads off in search of her birth mother; and Beauchamp (Gibson) deals with his wife Dede's (Garrick) impending motherhood. More Tales is just as enjoyable as the original, and since there is less time introducing the characters, there's more time spent with them and developing them. Tensions about showing nudity and depicting homosexuality, which caused a controversy with the first production, have been lessened (this was made for Showtime, not PBS as the original was), making the sequel more relaxed. As before, the series captures 1970s San Francisco in all its glory, featuring fabulous period details in the clothes, music and fads of the era. It's like reuniting with long-lost old friends.

THE LAIR

"The Lair" is addictive entertainment in its own right. It's plot heavy and not as nudity-packed as its producers would like you to believe. The program, originally aired on Here!, is well-produced and acted with a direction towards camp. The stars are all hot, and it's nice to see Colton Ford with a role that requires shirt and pants. And guess what? He does a great job!In a small island town young "John Doe" bodies are showing up naked, drained of blood with neck wounds. Thom is a journalist for the local island paper who gets a tip that an exclusive sex club called "The Lair" is somehow involved in the murders. It's a dark place where men are accepted by invitation only. The filmmakers take us into the club and show us an orgy and a death by vampire. The death was after a delightful sex scene that somehow skirted showing us any genitalia. Deliciously grissly, the club disposes of the body and we learn that "The Lair" is run by bloodthirsty vampires always on the prowl for fresh meat. Thom follows up on the lead and finds himself ensnared in the fangs of some pretty mean gay vampires. We were given only 2 episodes and we can't wait for more bloody erotic treats!

It’s a fabulously bumpy scene where the boys have perfect pecs, designer drugs flow freely and weaker lives tend to crumble. John is a closeted small-town cop who escapes to LA to be out and proud. He becomes friendly with Hector, a high-end prostitute who brings John into the uniquely gay life of intense bodybuilding and night-into-morning dance parties. He also falls in love with Gill, who has already been through this scene and survived. As John falls deeper and deeper into drugs and partying, most of his friends lose patience, but Gill holds on. Events culminate at the annual White Party in Palm Springs, CA where lives are changed.

Will John pull out of the scene and settle down with Gill? With actual circuit party footage and mounds of glistening and chiseled flesh, Circuit is bound to get your juices flowing.

The scene, as most of us know, has both wondrous and scary sides, and both parallel elements of the circuit scene are explored in this terrific new film. Circuit begins its tale in a small conversative town as John (Jonathan Wade Drahos) is outed as a fellow cop attacks a gay man. Rather than withstand the homophobia of his fellow officers, he decides to move to West Hollywood to experience life as an openly gay man. He meets up with his cousin Tad (the adorable Daniel Kukan), a documentary filmmaker whose latest project is a profile of the Circuit Party scene. John is quickly sucked into the seductive and bacchanalian world of bodybuilding, night-into-morning dance parties, and hardcore designer drug and steroid abuse. His life skyrockets out of control, torn between the grounded and "over the scene" Gill (Brian Lane Green) and Hector, a gorgeous Latin hustler (Andre Khabazzi in a star-making performance; the mirror scene is a stunner).

John’s high school sweetie and best friend (Kiersten Warren) gets progressively worried at John’s rapidly deteriorating attitude – and mind. It all culminates in spiraling tragedy at the White Party.

Many will find the film disturbing while others will be drawn to the communal and tribal “men with men” party atmosphere; the film makes no judgments, but certainly doesn’t shy away from any of the scene’s aspects. This is not the film to watch if you are looking for light amusingentertainment. HUSTLER WHITE

I wanted to dislike this more than I did, but against my will, after a while I began to sort of like it. It's still bad, but it's not offensive the way it seems like it will be from the opening. For a movie about hustling, with a few real-life gay porn stars thrown in for good measure, it isn't really smutty or gross -- it's having far too much fun with its own genre-hopping and movie-referencing for that. At the beginning it feels like it's going to be a lot more pornographic than it is -- that it so say, disgusting as opposed to sexy; however, there are a few sexy scenes -- there's a boots and leather porn shoot that's pretty erotic, as is the scene where a row of black men take turns with a blond muscle boy (and there are a lot of hustlers in short shorts, if that's your thing). There's a briefly touched-upon theme with a skinhead who wants to kiss, the notion of closeness vs. sex and if the two are compatible, that could have been elaborated on to give the film some weight, but it's not dealt with effectively; it's mainly there as a stupid joke. Most of the jokes are stupid, especially the recurring "Anger...any relation to Kenneth?" bit. (I love the movie's tagline, though.)

The editing is a particular flaw -- it's in your face and has no rhythm, and it makes the film seem more cheap than the subject matter already suggests. That cheapness may be part of LaBruce's intention (the amateurish acting would seem to say so), but it's still childish regardless -- a scene where someone repeatedly runs over a guy with his car is flat and unfunny. There's narration where Castro is talking to us, and it's completely phony-sounding -- the movie is fake everything. Again, I think that must be the point. (The film's overall reason for existence seems geared toward a scene where LaBruce gets to suck face with a hustler.) The best scene in the movie is that with Castro and a baby in the bathtub, a scene that is essentially a rip-off (or homage) to "Flesh." 6/10

Gudrun is always spouting some slogan or other, including "Heterosexuality is the Opiate of the Masses." The group organizes to kidnap the gay son of a wealthy industrialist by snatching him as he walks home one day. Unknown to the group at large, is that one of their own, Clyde, already has carnal knowledge of this tasty rich boy and that his dad has disowned him for being gay.Right from the opening frames one knows that Bruce has concocted something quite unique here. Sex scenes are interspersed freely throughout this visual treat, so if you are bored with the terrorists or the flashing polemics, don't worry, the boys will start fucking again soon. While this movie has some pretty damned hard-core sex, there are also surprisingly, laughs – and lessons. (English and German with English subtitles)

Yet despite their differences, the two fall for each other.That’s the story, but the more interesting aspect of the film (other than the flesh) is the ‘90s L.A. scene it captures. In this sprightly American indie, first-time director/writer Richard LeMay has crafted a modest, yet pleasing story of love — both lost and gained. Conrad is an uptight SOB who rules his advertising agency and life with strict controls. His lover walked out on him for being such a control freak and his employees are always frustrated. Rather than deal with finding a new lover, or more likely, allowing true emotions to actually happen, he hires a hunky Australian call boy for sexual pleasure. Suffice it to say Conrad doesn’t have to hire a prostitute for sex, he’s a stud. Ian arrives at his doorstep and the whole sex for money thing seems so easy. This is until Conrad offers Ian a job at his company and things get real complicated real fast. While the subjects of 200 American are sex and romance, there are no lingering shots of male torsos here. The director is trying to get our attention towards the story and off the nudity — which isn’t here. This isn’t your ordinary “gay hustler” film — there are plot twists galore and even a budding romance.
